Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I have to take another childbirth education class in addition to Mindful Birthing Course ?

The power lies with how are you going to deal with the information you are presented with ?
The MBCP course teaches you about the physiology of childbirth but the most important is that The MBCP course teaches you about Mindfulness based child labor & parenting - And being mindful allows you to bring awareness to what you are directly experiencing via your senses, state of mind, via your thoughts and emotions. That will alter the way you decide under pressure, how you deal with pain in labor, how to accept things as is etc...

You can pair this course with a more technical childbirth class (some cover topics like breastfeeding, VBAC, etc.) — but without mindfulness, those tools might remain intellectual.
MBCP brings them to life.

So if you need to choose just one course:
MBCP holds it all — your body, your mind, your heart.

How much of the class is mindfulness meditation and how much is childbirth education?

This is such a great question — and it really touches on what makes this course different from typical childbirth education.

We absolutely cover the essentials: the anatomy and physiology of childbirth, the stages of labor, what to expect, and how to navigate the many possibilities that may arise. That knowledge is important, and it’s woven throughout the course.

But more time is intentionally devoted to mindfulness meditation — because mindfulness is childbirth preparation, parenting preparation, and stress-reduction training all in one.

It’s not just about learning what might happen — it’s about learning how to meet whatever happens with presence, steadiness, and compassion.

You’ll learn practical tools to regulate your nervous system, work with pain, soften resistance, and stay grounded through all the unpredictability of birth and early parenting. These aren’t just birth tools — they’re life tools.

If you feel called to dive deeper into the technical aspects of birth (like interventions, breastfeeding, etc.), you’re welcome to take another class or do some extra reading. But this course provides a strong, holistic foundation that supports both your inner and outer readiness.

Is this course only for people who want a natural childbirth?

Not at all. This course is for everyone — no matter what kind of birth you’re planning or what unfolds along the way.

Mindfulness doesn’t depend on whether you give birth at home or in a hospital, with or without medication. What it offers is the ability to stay connected to yourself, your breath, and your choices — even when things change.

Between you and me, many of us have hopes for how we’d love birth to go — and that’s so valid. But birth is also a threshold, and sometimes it takes its own path.

This course helps you develop the inner resources to meet birth as it is — not just how we wish it to be — with more grace, resilience, and peace.
